Dominant vs. Recessive phenotypes

Dominant phenotypes are the traits that are the most common while the recessive phenotypes are the traits that are less common. In the picture, the plant in the center is showing a dominant phenotype which is being a dark brown color while the plant next to it on the right is showing a recessive phenotype which is being a light brown color. The purpose of the phenotypes is to provide the population with diversity.
