Exoskeleton

An exoskeleton is a rigid external part of the body that acts as protection and provides support to the organism. In the picture, the moths have exoskeletons which protects them from their surroundings. The purpose of exoskeletons is to help insects daily from allowing them to move to helping them have some defense for their frail bodies.
