The calvin cycle is a cycle inside the plant that produces glucose for the plant to use as energy. In the picture, the bristles of the tree is producing glucose via calvin cycle to fuel the tree and allow it to grow. The purpose of the calvin cycle is provide the plant with a sugar that can be used as energy for it to grow.
